File types
For cutting : we ideally we need vector files: .DWG .DXF .Ai or .SVG with an indication of scale.
For engraving : vector or image files : .JPG .PNG . PDF
Or just send what you can to show your idea, a sketch on paper for example. We can also quote for doing the drawing work for you if required. Once a file is available, we can estimate the machine run time, the duration of changeovers, and determine material quantity and if necessary any alternative finishing methods.
Information required
Tell us what you are making. It helps us to advise best on material choice (if required) and cost.
What materials / thicknesses you would like to use and whether you want to use our supply or your own. If supplying an object to engrave, let us know what it’s made of and the dimensions.
We need to know the quantity you require from each file so we can quote accordingly. Costs vary depending on the volume of an order, so it’s important to convey this information.
